Fitness Classes

The Stoneham Senior Center is proud to offer Weekly Fitness Classes!
Get moving, get fit, & get healthy with the variety of exercise programs we have at the Center. All classes are $2 per person/per class, with the exception of Advanced Tai Chi (payable to the Senior Center upon arrival to class). Each class has a maximum size of 25 participants determined on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants must be 60 years old or older and ALL classes are open tor men and women.

NEW TAI CHI CLASSES

Beginners Tai Chi Wednesdays @ 1:00 1/15-3/4: If you are new to Tai Chi this is the best place to start. You’ll be introduced to Tai Chi principles and learn the first 6 movements of Dr. Lam’s Sun style based program. If you are a returning practitioner, you will discover depth in these core movements. This class is free, sponsored by Mystic Valley Elder Services.

Intermediate Tai Chi Wednesdays at 2:00 1/15-3/4; This 8-week session is for those who have previously completed at least 1 or more sessions of Dr. Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis. You should be confident with your balance and understand the Basic 6 forms. We will explore the depth of Tai Chi, applying those principles to new forms. This class has a suggested donation of $2.00 a class. To ensure safety and individual attention, the class is limited to 15
