Senior Center Vans
If you need a ride to the Center, call (781) 438-1157. Our comfortable 13-passenger van and our 4-passenger minivan are available to transport you to and from the senior center on Monday through Friday from 8:30-3:30 pm. This is a curb-to-curb service. Drivers are not able to assist passengers with physical limitations. Transportation is available to seniors (60 and over) who live independently in the community.

Grocery Shopping
Shopping is available at Stop & Shop and Market Basket in Reading, Mondays and Fridays, Pickup between 8:45-9:15 am. Remember to bring your reusable bags!

Main Street Quick Stops
Wednesdays 9-11 am
Starts at CVS in Redstone and runs continuously to the library and back. Call the day before for home pick-up before 9 am

Shopping Trip to Walmart
Third Friday of the month, 1-3pm

Additional Transportation Services;

Medical Appointments 
Transportation is available to medical appointments upon the availability of a volunteer driver Monday through Friday. Our four-passenger van is also available Wednesday’s for medical rides as well. Five workdays (5) advance notice is REQUIRED Call (781) 438-1157 to schedule. Please note, rides to Lahey Clinic are available only upon volunteer availability. Volunteer driver availability is required for ALL Lahey Clinic medical rides.

Medication Disposal
Monday from 10 am to noon the Senior Center van will bring you to and from the police station to dispose of your unused and expired medications and prescriptions. Call (781) 438-1157 to sign up.

MBTA “The Ride”
If you have a disability that prevents you from using the MBTA bus, subway, or trolley all or some of the time, The RIDE may be able to assist with your public transportation needs. To access The RIDE, you have to apply and be approved by The RIDE Eligibility Center (TREC). Please call 617-337-2727 for more information.

Charlie Card
For those who need to renew or obtain a “Charlie Card”, call the MBTA T-pass program at 1 (888) 844-0355

MVES Trip to Metro-North Program
If you’re 60+ or an adult living with a disability, don’t drive, and public transportation isn’t an option, you can still get to appointments, visit friends, dine out, and have a life with TRIP. This free program gives you money to reimburse friends, neighbors, and in some cases, certain relatives, for taking you anywhere you want to go.
