ART MATTERS: Marc Chagall Tues January 7, 1 PM Known as the “Poet”, he was one of the most versatile artists of the 20th Century. He merged the traditional images of his native Russian, Jewish culture with the modern styles of Cubism, and Fauvism. His paintings portray stories and fables, ideals of freedom, dreams of love, nightmares of war, passionate emotions and soul-refreshing humor. He never finished a canvas until something in it “surprised” himself. Join us for a retrospective look at his work, his life, and his unique perspective of the world

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP Thursday, January 2 and 16 at 10 am Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or related dementia? Join us at the Center for Education and Support with Kathy Learned of Mystic Valley Elder Services. This program will run on the first & third Thursday of every month at the Senior Center. 

SURVIVING LOSS AFTER 60 Meets the first and third Tuesday every month 10-11:30 Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice 178 Savin St, 3rd floor, Malden. No fee but registration is required. Please call Judy Seifert at 781-338-7861. 

PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP-STONEHAM Tuesday, January 7, 1 pm This peer-led Parkinson’s Disease Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month. 

A HELPING HAND Do your hands serve you well or do they sometimes ache or cause you pain? Beginning January 2020, Carol Seplowitz is available on Monday afternoons from 2-4 and will schedule 40-minute hand massage appointments. Please note, no appointments will be scheduled in February but Carol will resume in March.

CHAIR MASSAGES Second Thursday of the month (1/9) from 11 am-1 pm, $5 You can schedule a 15-minute massage with the goal of helping alleviate stress and pain. Sign up in advance for a time slot or drop by and check for any openings.

RELAXATION CIRCLE WITH ANGELA SHEA: Every Tuesday, 11 AM $2 Join us as we focus and practice various simple techniques that can be used daily to aid in relaxing and help begin the ‘mind-body-spirit’ connection. 

TRAVELING TOOTH FAIRY: Second Thursday (1/9) of the month, $25 9 AM-1 PM, up to six patients will be able to schedule a 40-minute appointment to have a complete dental cleaning by a Registered Dental Hygienist. Income eligibility is $22,000. Advance registration and payment are required. Cash or local check is accepted made payable to Marcy Foreman.


Computer classes continue on Wednesdays from 9:30- 11:30 at the Boys and Girls Club on 15 Dale Court. No registration required, just drop in! 

A New Year for a New You (3 Part Program) Nina McGrath of Stoneham will be hosting a three-part program culminating in a complete make-over (hair, clothes, and make-up) for one of our very own seniors!

Boston Stage Company Presents Swan Lake in Blue Senior Matinee Wed Feb 19, 2 PM $35. Enjoy this jazz musical tale of a Broadway producer who falls for a burlesque dancer. 

A Musical Journey Through the Years with Tommy Rull Friday, Feb 21 from 1- 2 pm. Entertainer Tommy Rull will perform the music of Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Paul Anka, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, Perry Como, Lou Rawls, and many more great entertainers.
